Genelia D'Souza the young talented south India actress with some good Hindi films to her credit was born on August 5th 1987 in England. Her parents belonged to Goa and moved to England but after her birth they returned to India and settled in Mumbai, where, she completed her academics and started her film career. Genelia DSouza completed her initial education up to high school at Apostolic Carmel High School in Bandra and graduated from St. Andrews College, Bandra.

Genelia D'Souza started her career for the glamour world with a commercial for Parker Pen along with Amitabh Bachchan, at the same time she also did one another commercial for Fair and Lovely with dashing Indian batsman of eighties, Krisnamachary Srikkanth. Impressed with her performance the famous Tamil Director Shankar cast her in ‘Boys’ in 2003 when she was only sixteen. The movie became a hit and very soon dubbed into Telgu. Same year she also acted in Hindi film ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’ opposite Ritesh Deshmukh.
The Telgu version of the movie proved to be bigger hit and soon she was acting in a good number of Telgu films Satyam (2003), Samba (2004) and Sye (2004).

In 2005, her recognizable movies were Naa Alludu (2005) opposite Jr. NTR and Subhash Chandra Bose co-starring Venkatesh which went hit. After Tujhe Meri Kasam’ in 2003 her next in Hindi was “Masti” co-starring Aftab Shivdasani, Vivek Oberoi and Ritesh Deshmukh in 2004. Year 2008 is a come back year for her in Hindi cinema as she has movies like Mere Baap Pehele Aap, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, It’s My Life and Life Partner. Hopefully her second innings in Bollywood would yield good result for her.
